There are few other lounges that US Platinum Cardmembers can access depending on the location, such as “Pontus in the Air” lounge in Stockholm. To be clear, the ones that are official Centurion Lounges (funded by US and accessible by all US Platinum Cardmembers) are the ones in US (LGA, Philly, Miami, SFO, Seattle, DFW, Las Vegas, and Houston + soon to open Phoenix, Charlotte, JFK, Denver and LAX) and International ones (Hong Kong, and soon Heathrow). Depending on the country of issuance, you may not be able to access Centurion Lounges depending on the location. Same is true for non-US Platinum Cardmembers. The cost of operation is not funded by US Platinum business. This is why those Eurostar lounges are only accessible for Platinum Cardmembers from certain countries and not US. However, not all of AMEX Lounges (even though they are branded Centurion) are accessible by US Platinum Cardmembers if they are funded locally. The difference is that (from US Platinum Card member perspective), the official Centurion Lounges are accessible to Platinum Cardmembers from US. The ones in Australia are locally funded (similar to the ones in Mexico and Argentina). Hong Kong one is the one that is part of the official Centurion Lounge. I won’t be keeping my card and will spend the $550 getting a quick airport meal/drink in a much more comfortable environment. I got the card for lounge access and quit my AAA membership to reap that benefit from the card. I understand that policies are in place for a reason, but the attitude and was totally inappropriate and uncomfortable for others to witness. The patron was complaining that he could not get two drinks and was hoping to do that so that his wife, who had just taken their plates to a table, would not have got fight her way back across the crowd and their luggage to get a drink. When I was in the Centurion at SFO last week I saw a bartender snap at a patron (and then continue to grouse to his co-workers about the situation while serving others. I’ve found limited lounges (one per airport, mostly, and usually not in the terminal I’m flying from) and they’re all packed to the brim with frustrated servers.
